Grace weir says “We were delighted to be chosen as an SBS winner back in June 2015 and we were finally able to attend the annual SBS event in February with fellow winners and guests. We arrived at around 10:45am for registration and networking until 11:45 when we heard from all the sponsors including Ryman, iLaw, 123 Reg, Robert Dyas and Red Letter Days. Theo Paphitis came on stage for an introduction and also introduce Mark Childs who will be setting up the new SBSshop.co.uk which is coming soon for all SBS winners to advertise their products and services.

After lunch it was time for questions and answers with the panel who consisted of Mike Pickles from Really Useful Products, Holly Tucker from Not on the High Street and of course, Theo himself. During question time, he stated “In 10 years time the world’s largest companies have probably not been started up yet… by closely monitoring global market conditions, businesses can exploit the resulting opportunities”.

The day was rounded off by an opportunity to meet Theo, pose for a picture and collect our Ryman goodie bags. It was a fantastic day and we met lots of small businesses like ourselves. I came away feeling inspired and hope to attend next year even though you don’t get to meet him a second time! I would highly recommend that any small business on Twitter should tweet Theo to not only promote your business to every one else taking part, but you could be chosen as a winner too”.
